Does Alpha Phi cost the same as other houses on campus?

Based on PHC’s information, Alpha Phi’s dues are right in the middle of other sororities regarding housing & live-in member prices. We also provide more benefits to live-out members compared to other houses, and the majority of what you are paying directly goes back to you through events and the benefits of using our home. Live-out dues are around $2000, each year it changes depending on our budget. We have a limited number of national financial aid opportunities specifically for Alpha Phis and PHC scholarships, but in the past, a few members have won them!

How much does it cost to live in the house?

It costs around $8000 per semester to live in the house which includes membership dues, housing & board (meals!), and international dues. We have the option for you to pay in installments, semesterly, or annually which allows some financial flexibility! It also depends every year on our budget to see how much live-in dues are.

What things do my dues go to?

Live-out member dues go towards our amazing events like Date Parties and Formals where we usually spend in San Francisco and in exciting venues! Every semester, we always hold fun sisterhood events at the house like chai making or designing decorative merch, and even outside events like sisterhood trips to Tahoe or new member boat cruises! Even if you don’t live in the house, your payments go towards using all house amenities like our various meeting rooms, study lounge, and meals at the house Monday-Friday! Graduating as an Alpha Phi also gives you the priceless support from the Alpha Phi Foundation. If in the future, you or someone close to you suffers from a heart condition or goes through an extenuating hardship, our foundation provides finance and medical support and resources for the Alpha Phi. The remainder of your dues goes also toward Alpha Phi International & our beautiful philanthropy events, and there is also a life-long benefit to being an Alpha Phi sister: connections to national Alpha Phis who have the resources and want to help you succeed in the future!
